Course: Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

What is AED Defibrillation?

An automated External Defibrillator or AED is a portable device used to deliver an electric shock to the heart of someone experiencing Cardiac Arrest. AED's are portable, easy to use, and are essential to increasing the survival rate of Cardiac Arrest victims. Having an AED within minutes of a victim's Arrest could be the difference between life and death.

Who is the course suitable for?

This course is suitable and recommended for all First Aiders, Health and Safety Appointed Person and Lifeguards who would benefit from the knowledge and experience of using lifesaving equipment.

 

What does the course include?

How will the participants be assessed?

The assessment will be question and answer based with safe practice. Upon successful completion participants will be issued with an AED Defibrillation Certification.

When will participants have to attend?

The course is designed to be carried out at the clients' premises, or external venue by prior arrangement. Course duration is 4 hour.

What will participants do on the course?

This course will enable successful participants to perform CPR and use the AED in a safe and controlled manner.

Each course is designed for up to 8 participants. All costs are exclusive of VAT charged at 17.5%
