Course: Principals of Manual Handling
Who is the course suitable for?
All employees have a duty to provide a suitable level of Health and Safety training for staff. This course is aimed at those who carry out manual handling activities at work. No previous qualification is required, although not essential it is recommended that participants should hold the FCIEH 'Foundation Certificate in Health and Safety.
What does the course include?
- The process of manual handling
- Manual handling injuries and the activities which can cause injury
- Manual handling assessment and control options
- Responsibilities imposed by the Manual Handling Operations Regulations
When will participants have to attend?
The course duration is half a day and is designed to be undertaken at the clients premises or an external venue by prior arrangement.
What will the participants gain from this course?
Successful completion of this course will enable participants to look carefully at their own work activities and contribute to the development of safer manual handling methods and tasks, in co-operation with their managers and supervisors.
All our Health and Safety tutors are holders of the 'Professional Trainers Certificate'.
Each participant will receive a certificate.
